Why Nordpfote

We only sell what we'd use ourselves.

Not an endless catalogue, but a small, tested selection. That saves you the research — and saves us the returns.

Small, tested selection

Instead of a thousand variants we carry a handful of products. What doesn't convince us never makes it into the shop.

Honest descriptions

Measurements, materials and limitations included. You should know what you're getting — not what sounds good.

Reachable in person

Questions about sizing, fit or returns are answered by us. No chatbot, no hold queue.

Before you order

Three things that prevent most wrong purchases.

Most returns aren't caused by bad products but by the wrong size or the wrong design. These three points settle that in advance.

1

Measuring the chest correctly

Place the tape directly behind the front legs at the widest point — not around the neck. Two fingers should fit between tape and fur. If your value falls between two sizes, take the larger one: a harness that's too tight will chafe, while a slightly loose one can be tightened.

2

Harness instead of collar for pullers

If your dog pulls on the lead, a collar puts the entire force on the larynx and cervical spine. A chest harness spreads the pull across ribcage and shoulders. For flat-faced breeds or animals with back problems it isn't an option but a necessity.

3

Cat bed: cave or open?

Cats that like to burrow under blankets take to caves far better than open baskets. Rule of thumb: your cat should be able to curl up comfortably inside without touching the walls. When in doubt go one size up — too tight simply won't be used.

Still unsure?

Better to buy it right the first time.

Write to us before ordering if you're unsure about size or material. We'd much rather answer a quick question than process a return.
